RIM offering free Blackberry Playbooks to enterprise customers

If your company has plans to install RIM’s BES, or if your company has been toying around with that idea, RIM is now offering a special promotion where if your company were to install or upgrade to RIM’s Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) v5.0 anytime from now until the 31st of December, you will be giving one 16GB Blackberry Playbook tablet for free.

RIM’s Blackberry Playbook tablet has not done as well as they had hoped, and it’s a safe assumption that it’s probably got to do with the Playbook not shipping with native Blackberry smartphone support. The update that will allow native calendar, email and contacts will be arriving soon, but we have to wonder if that might be too late. Either way like we said, if your company has plans to install/upgrade to BES v5.0 anyway, a free Blackberry Playbook is a decent bonus. Head on down to RIM’s website for more information.
