1366 × 768 is the new 1024 × 768

1366 × 768 is the new 1024 × 768:
It looks like the once reigning champion of screen resolutions on the Web, 1024 × 768, has been ousted, and there is a new bad boy in town known as 1366 x 768 to take over the mantle. This is the discovery from StatCounter, touting that 1024 × 768 screens has just overtaken 1024 × 768 as the most popular screen resolution that are used by the visitors who head over to StatCounter’s global network of sites. Just three years back, 1024 × 768 still made up for nearly 42% of all visitors to approximately 3 million sites which rely on StatCounter. Fast forward to today, and the number has dropped to 18.6%, whereby 1366 × 768 displays now make up around 19.28%, which is an increase of 0.68% compared to May 2009. (more…)
