Apple Unveils iOS 8.1, With Apple Pay and Return of the Camera Roll

Apple's iOS 8.1 will include Apple Pay (which will launch on Monday), its mobile payments platform and bring back the Camera Roll
The latest version of the operating system will also include a public beta of iCloud Photo Library.
iOS 8, released last month, has already been installed by nearly 50% of iOS users, Apple's senior vice president of software engineering, Apple's Craig Federighi announced during Thursday's event.
The high adoption rate comes despite some early problems with the operating system, most notably the disastrous iOS 8.0.1 update, which Apple pulled. Apple later fixed the issue in a subsequent update but users have still been unhappy with some aspects of the operating system, especially the removal of the iPhone's Camera Roll. Read more...
