Xbox, Skype, Outlook, and more affected by Microsoft Account issues

Microsoft Account users appear to be experiencing issues with signing into their accounts this morning. Large numbers of Xbox, Skype, and Outlook users have been complaining they're unable to access their accounts, with the login prompt noting that an account doesn't exist. The Verge has tested a number of accounts, and we can confirm there are widespread issues worldwide.
Microsoft has acknowledged the problems in an Xbox Live service status message, simply noting it's "working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible." Microsoft Accounts are the key sign-in process to access services like Office 365, OneDrive, Xbox Live, Skype, Outlook.com, the Windows Store, and many more Microsoft apps. We've reached out to Microsoft for an update on the outage, and we'll update you accordingly.

iOS 11 Update Now Available For iPhones And iPads

About a week ago Apple confirmed that the iOS 11 update would be released on the 19th of September , and sure enough it has. For those who own compatible iOS devices, you will be pleased to learn that the update will be available for download today , so you can wait for your iOS device to prompt you, or you can go to your phone's Settings -> General -> Software Update and try and pull it manually. However if you don't see it yet, you might have to wait since we expect that the rollout to all the markets around the world could take a while, so maybe give it a couple of hours and try again, but regardless its availability is still set for today. iOS 11 is the latest iOS update for iPhones and iPads and is the successor to last year's iOS 10. Windows 10: Microsoft retires HomeGroup

Microsoft plans to remove the HomeGroup functionality from its Windows 10 operating system. The company made the first step towards that goal in the most recent Insider Preview version of Windows 10 as it disabled it in that build. In "a note about HomeGroup" in the release announcement of the Windows 10 Insider Build, Microsoft confirms that HomeGroup will be retired. The company introduced HomeGroup in Windows 7 as a new option for home users to access printers, files, and media in home networks. The core idea was to assign all devices to a single HomeGroup to share access to files and printers between all devices. It is unclear how popular the feature was and is. It is clear however that it was never the only option that Windows users had in this regard, and it was not the best either for certain use cases.
